About the Angthong Marine Park Day Tour by cruise

This one day excursion to beautiful Angthong Marine Park starts with a pickup from your hotel or villa on Koh Samui. At around 8:30 we should all be aboard and the 30 meter long sailing yacht is ready for departure. Our destination: the 42 uninhabited islands that make up the national marine park called Angthong, or Golden Bowl in Thai. It is a protected area since 1980 to preserve the unique flora and fauna.

Right after departure we will serve hot breakfast on board. After that, enjoy the infinite views in the Gulf of Siam and take a breath of fresh air. Sunbathe on the soft sun beds or have a drink with your fellow travelers.

Our first stop is Wua Ta Lap, the biggest island in Angthong Marine Park. A small motor boat will take you from The Red Baron to the shore. On this island you can find a small restaurant, museum, a cave and a path leading up to an amazing viewpoint. From there you have a full 360 degree view of almost all the islands in the national park. Of course you can also decide to stay on the beach where you can go swimming, or sunbathing.

Lunch and afternoon

The tour continues with a small boat ride back to The Red Baron, where we serve a hot Thai lunch. The Yacht sets sail while you are eating and stops at Koh Mae Ko or Mother island. Here you can have a look at the beautiful Emerald Lake. A green hidden lake, enclosed by limestone rocks which can’t be seen from the water. This island used to be a volcano and the lake formed in its crater over millions of years. The lake is salty because of an underground link with the sea.

Back on the yacht, you can enjoy some time swimming. In between we serve coffee, tea and cookies. After this afternoon snack it’s time to head back to Koh Samui. A great time to see the sun go down and watch the sea in all its beauty. When we arrive on the pier it is about time to watch the sunset.

The tour ends with a transfer back to your hotel. And a head full of beautiful images and memories.
